We now have a vacancy for a Temporary Fire Door Technician to cover Northern Ireland!
The job role would be prominently to carry out fire door checks and maintenance in the NI area, the applicant should be able to manage his own diary, be punctual, polite and keen to work as part of a busy team and successful candidates must be tenacious, ambitious and demonstrate a willingness to succeed.
The Successful candidate will make recommendations of remedial works necessary to achieve compliance including advice on suitable upgrading where necessary. Fire safety legislation makes it clear that fire doors are installed and maintained as fit for purpose, BS9999 and BS 8214 2016 gives guidance about inspections and how often they should be made in this role you will be expected to perform to the standards.

MCL Fire will be delivering full training for this role before successful candidate takes on the role.
Candidates will require the following essential criteria;
Full Driving Licence
An understanding of Health & Safety at work
High levels of attention to detail
Good recording of information skills
Ability to hold an autonomous role and demonstrate good time management
Proficient in MS office & other software programs
Applicants must have the ability to work on their own initiative & as part of a team.
Applicants must supply suitable character references and will pass Access NI check
Desirable Criteria;
Familiar with & ability to demonstrate knowledge of a wide range of products within the fire industry an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good presentation (ensuring company vehicle, uniform and paperwork promote a professional image)
Some Office Word experience particularly excel spreadsheets
