New Certification Obtained

We are delighted to announce that MCL Fire has gained a new certification, which is known as BAFE SP203-3.

Who Are BAFE

In the UK, BAFE is an independent registration body for Third Party Certified fire safety providers. All companies that get registered with BAFE like ourselves get individually assessed. This is to determine that we have competency to carry out specific fire safety services confidently. A BAFE certification wont cover cover all fire safety services available and for that reason BAFE have multiple schemes available. As previously mentioned we have gained a new certification in BAFE SP203-3. That is not the only certification we have, as we have previously obtained BAFE SP101, BAFE SP203-1 and BAFE SP205. If you would like more information on these or other certifications be sure to check out the BAFE website with our unique code 300219.

BAFE

What is BAFE SP203-3?

This certification is for fixed gaseous fire extinguishing systems. Providing the quality evidence that our company can competently deliver services in design, installation, commissioning and maintenance for the fixed gaseous fire extinguishing systems. This scheme is modular which means that are 4 different service skills for fixed Gaseous Fire extinguishing systems. These can be individually obtained through third party certification, with most BAFE SP203-3 registered companies holding all these modules.

The Modules

To summarise each module works in their own was to ensure that each service is carried out by a professional, who has specific expertise within that area. While also making sure the work is being carried out to specific codes of practice and standards. These modules help to provide the best practice available in accordance with the current British standards (BS EN 15004-1 and BS 5306-4). Within this scheme the modules that we have obtained are installation and maintenance. This means installations will be done to the approved designs by our technicians. With the maintenance side of it, our technicians have an astute understanding of the appropriate standards. Ensuring that system inspections are done on a regular basis, checking to ensure that the systems remain suitable for the building and fully operational.
